A Acronis Case Study
The University of East Anglia issued iPads to senior managers to create paperless meetings but lacked a secure on-device way to access university files; staff resorted to consumer tools like Dropbox or emailing documents, which compromised security and control. The university selected Acronis and its Acronis Files Advanced product to provide an enterprise-grade mobile file access solution that would integrate with existing infrastructure and meet IT security requirements.
Acronis deployed Acronis Files Advanced in a one-day, 15‑iPad trial with no third parties, providing Active Directory integration, no extra logins, and enterprise controls (including remote wipe) while replacing consumer file services. The University of East Anglia is rolling the solution out to 500 users, staff can access server files during meetings without printing, and the deployment has significantly reduced paper use while preserving security and privacy.
