BWT Racing Point Speeds Up Processes While Protecting All Endpoints and Workloads with Acronis

BWT Racing Point, a British Formula One team, faced unprotected endpoints and cloud data after moving from tape backups and needed to secure roughly 200 laptops/desktops, 460 Microsoft 365 mailboxes and large computational datasets from its virtual wind tunnel. The team had already started working with Acronis in 2019 to modernize server backup but required a broader solution to protect endpoints, Microsoft 365 and speed up lengthy backup and recovery processes.

Acronis expanded its deployment by using Acronis Cyber Backup to cover endpoints and Microsoft 365 through a single admin console and Acronis Cyber Infrastructure to handle large virtual wind-tunnel datasets with efficient storage and replication. As a result, Acronis now protects 62 servers, about 200 endpoints, 460 mailboxes and more than 400 TB of data, reduced recoveries from up to 24 hours to about 30 minutes, and freed IT resources for R&D and wind-tunnel testing.
