Business Tech Pros Migrates from Datto to Acronis to Support Strategic Vision

Business Tech Pros is a Texas-based managed IT services provider that supports small medical clinics and dental offices and was protecting over 50 TB of customer data. After experiencing unstable virtual machines, unreliable recoveries, and costly vendor lock-in with Datto, Business Tech Pros evaluated alternatives and selected Acronis, deploying Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud and Acronis Cyber Infrastructure to meet their needs for reliable technology, virtual machine management, and an affordable appliance model.

Working with Acronis, BTP built a low-cost appliance running Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud and Acronis Cyber Infrastructure (one VM for infrastructure pointing to Google Cloud Storage, one for local backup, one for rescue), gaining hybrid backup, AI-based anti-ransomware, and multitenant management. The Acronis solution was rolled out to 25 medical clients plus a large food distributor, delivered a 66% reduction in recurring costs versus Datto, produced a 10% increase in new customers, reduced reliance on vendor support, and put BTP on track to recoup upfront costs and be profitable within six months.
