Aures, a provider of Windows-based point-of-sale (POS) systems, needed a simple, reliable way to protect customers from data loss when hard drives failed and to offer disaster recovery as an optional security package. To solve this, Aures partnered with Acronis and moved from a personal backup offering to a customized OEM version of Acronis Cyber Backup bundled with its POS systems.

Acronis supplied the OEM Acronis Cyber Backup that Aures preloads and configures to create full backups before delivery, run automatic incremental backups, and include removable boot media for emergency restores. The Acronis solution enables fast system and data recovery, minimizes downtime and technician effort (with subsequent updates via remote intervention), and has been positively received by Aures customers as a convenient, reliable disaster-recovery option.
