Acronis Protects World’s Largest Alumina Refinery from Data Loss

Hydro Alunorte, the world’s largest alumina refinery in Pará, Brazil, faced unacceptable downtime and slow recoveries after relying on Norton Ghost and manual DVD backups—sometimes taking up to two days to restore systems versus a target RTO of 2–4 hours, with plant downtime costing up to US $4.2 million per day.
