A Acrolinx Case Study
Wilo, a global pump manufacturer operating in more than 60 countries, faced inconsistent terminology and time-consuming manual checks that risked brand-damaging errors across its growing volume of customer-facing content. To enforce a premium, uniform corporate language and reduce manual QA, Wilo adopted the Acrolinx platform for terminology and content-quality management.
Acrolinx—implemented in 2012 and integrated with authoring tools like Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign and FrameMaker—provides real-time feedback and centralized terminology across up to 35 languages, with monthly exports to SDL MultiTerm for translators. The result: faster, less work-intensive proofreading, source texts of higher quality so translations often need no substantial edits, and the Group Marketing team freed to focus on strategic goals—measurable improvements include multi‑language terminology control (35 languages) and a regular monthly terminology export workflow.
