A Acrolinx Case Study

Preview of the CLAAS Case Study

Thanks to Acrolinx, CLAAS Speaks With One Voice Worldwide

CLAAS, a global leader in agricultural machinery, faced inconsistent terminology across source content authored in German, English and French and translated into 30+ languages, which caused confusion between manuals, spare‑parts lists and marketing materials. To address this, CLAAS adopted Acrolinx’s content optimization/terminology system to coordinate a company‑wide terminology cleanup and ongoing governance.

Using Acrolinx, CLAAS merged multiple term sources into a centralized termbase (about 7,000 terms and ~51–52,000 names/spellings), deployed the Acrolinx Term Browser on the intranet and rolled the tool out to documentation and marketing teams (roughly 60 technical‑documentation users), which immediately drove several hundred lookups and improved consistency across all documents. Acrolinx’s solution has standardized product names worldwide, simplified translation workflows, and reduced translation and support friction by ensuring one corporate language.
