KTM Ensures Professional Brand Through Consistent Language

KTM faced the challenge of presenting a consistent, professional brand voice after integrating Husqvarna Motorcycles and moving into the premium segment, so the company launched a project to centralize terminology and translation management. To address this, KTM selected Acrolinx and has used the Acrolinx AI Platform for Enterprise Content Creation since 2011 to check terminology, spelling, grammar, and style against its writing guidelines.

Acrolinx was integrated with KTM’s SDL Trados/WorldServer/MultiTerm environment and authoring tools (including Excel and Adobe InDesign), with daily term exports and a terminology committee and Translation and Terminology Management team to govern changes. Acrolinx improved content consistency and lowered translation costs while strengthening KTM’s professional brand and market credibility—contributions that accompany KTM’s recent revenue growth and staff increases as it operates across 31 sales subsidiaries, 2 joint ventures and more than 2,000 dealers and importers worldwide.
