GROB Group Optimizes Writing Processes with the Help of Acrolinx

GROB Group, a global manufacturer of machine and production systems, needed to standardize technical documentation, training materials and design descriptions across international teams to ensure a consistent, customer‑oriented corporate language. To solve widespread terminological inconsistencies and uncontrolled glossaries, GROB selected the Acrolinx platform to guide writers and enforce style and terminology rules during content creation.

Acrolinx implemented a company‑wide terminology and content‑checking solution—building a semantic term database (now over 100,000 terms, 15,000 in German), integrating language checks into Office apps and replacing the translation memory with the Acrolinx Language Server. The deployment improved consistency, reduced duplicate translations and cut translation costs (example: an instruction’s translation cost fell from EUR 84 to EUR 8, a 90% saving), and the Acrolinx system is being rolled out from an initial 30 editors toward more than 1,000 users across GROB Group.
