Faster Go-To-Market Thanks to Consistent Product Information

MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, a global truck and bus manufacturer, faced the challenge of producing consistent, multilingual product information and after‑sales documentation in lockstep with fast product launches. The company needed to standardize terminology and text blocks, reduce editorial and translation costs across 23 languages, and integrate third‑party and service documentation. To address this, MAN integrated the Acrolinx software solution into its MANOffice® server‑based documentation system to provide linguistic intelligence, terminology and author management, and style controls.

Acrolinx ran term extraction, helped build a centralized terminology database and style rules, and enabled reusable text blocks and collaborative editing across sites. The result was faster, more consistent technical documentation, with release‑time reductions of up to 30% (and up to 50% for highly technical content), significantly improved translation efficiency and lower translation costs, and a company‑wide, recognizable brand voice—benefits already used by 60 editors at six MAN sites and expanding as more operations are onboarded.
