A Acrolinx Case Study
SAP faced inconsistent, hard-to-translate product content created in both English and German across global teams, which led to a disjointed customer experience and higher translation costs. To solve this, SAP deployed Acrolinx’s content optimization/language-checking software to enforce a single voice and detailed style rules across authoring tools.
Acrolinx automatically checks terminology, spelling, grammar and style, integrates with SDL Trados and a wide range of editors, and provides analytics for ongoing monitoring. The result: more consistent, readable content, far fewer translator queries and "considerably" reduced translation costs; by March 2013 Acrolinx supported about 1,000 SAP users, applied hundreds of style rules (200 English, 100 German), and set the stage for broader rollout and terminology imports across SAP.
