UVM Finds the Right Learning Tool for Introduction to Psychology Students

Acrobatiq, a Carnegie Mellon–backed learning optimization and analytics company, helped the University of Vermont tackle a common higher‑ed challenge: delivering an effective, scalable Intro to Psychology experience for ~1,000 students a year using limited resources. Instructors found traditional textbooks and large lectures didn’t provide timely feedback or personalized practice, making it hard to focus class time where students most needed help.

UVM adopted Acrobatiq’s adaptive courseware (using familiar textbook content) to provide frequent practice, real‑time learning analytics, and targeted feedback. The platform let instructors tailor lectures to analytics, improved student engagement and preference over print textbooks, reduced costs, and enabled plans to expand the approach and create custom modules with Acrobatiq’s authoring tools.
