Toyota plant shifts to higher gear with ACTpro

Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd. operates major sites including a 115‑acre engine plant at Deeside and needed a tailored, future‑proof access control system that could run in a virtual environment and integrate with its corporate database. acre security was engaged to modernize access control and badge management, using ACTpro components such as ACTpro Mifare1030 readers, ACTpro eLock MIFARE Classic wireless locks, and integrated badge‑printing services.

acre security replaced the legacy system with a unified ACTpro solution, deploying IP67 Mifare1030 mullion readers and battery‑powered eLock units (communicating via eLock hubs with up to 32 locks per hub) and integrating badge printing into Toyota’s corporate workflows. The result is a scalable, centrally managed system that is cost‑effective (badge printing no longer a separate process), supports multi‑application smart cards across access and HR, and improves responsiveness and remote management across the two sites serving roughly 3,000 employees.
