A acre security Case Study
St. James Hospital, a 1,000+ bed teaching and acute-care facility in Dublin that also treats COVID‑19 patients, needed additional screening capability at access points to protect patients and staff. To add a multi-layered, touchless screening layer alongside existing terminals, acre security deployed the Vanderbilt ACTpro access control solution integrated with ZKTeco Proface‑X‑TD facial and temperature screening terminals.
acre security’s implementation combined ACTpro controllers and readers with Proface‑X‑TD’s facial/palm verification, mask detection, anti‑spoofing and skin‑temperature measurement to block entry when thresholds are exceeded or masks are absent. The integrated system provides real‑time visitor check‑in and tracking, routes staff with elevated temperatures away from patient areas, and delivers measurable performance (up to 30,000 facial templates, 5,000 palm templates, and recognition in under 0.3 seconds), reducing exposure risk and improving hygiene at St. James Hospital.
