A acre security Case Study
NHS faced complex role-based access control requirements at King’s College Hospital and needed a solution that could scale, integrate with existing hardware, and minimize disruptive installation work. acre security addressed this by recommending an ACTpro-based access control approach (ACTpro 3000 controllers) that could be networked to a PC and manage large user and door counts.
acre security implemented ACTpro controllers to reuse existing third‑party readers, power supplies and exit devices, leveraging the hospital’s LAN to avoid extensive new wiring. The system supports up to 2,000 doors and 30,000 users, with an initial 140-door rollout expanded to over 500 doors, delivering significant cost savings, reduced on‑site disruption and a lower environmental impact.
