Vanderbilt’s SPC protects Coop retail chain in Switzerland

Coop, Switzerland’s largest retail network with more than 2,200 shops, CHF 19.2 billion in annual turnover and 47,000 employees, needed a reliable, SES EN–certified alarm solution to protect high-value in-store goods (electronics, phones, perfumes, jewelry) while supporting custom programming (e.g., overnight delivery) and modern communications to alarm receiving centers. acre security provided the SPC modular alarm system (SPC full-IP platform) to meet these requirements.

acre security deployed SPC across Coop sites together with PDM infrared detectors, seismic and glass-break detectors, and magnetic contacts, delivering cause-and-effect programming, self-monitoring and easy integration with fog systems, building systems and in-house alarm receiving stations. The solution simplified maintenance and staff training across Coop’s 2,200+ shops, improved alarm detection and reliability, and had a positive impact on operational costs while satisfying Coop’s custom security needs.
