uTest, the community side of digital testing leader Applause, needed a better way to manage communications for its global network of testers and a long-term mobile app testing project. With more than 30 active projects at once and a need to send timely, targeted updates to highly segmented audiences, the team struggled with rigid, closed systems and limited access to customer data. uTest turned to Acquia, using Acquia Campaign Studio to support more personalized, real-time engagement across its testing community.

Acquia Campaign Studio gave uTest a centralized, flexible marketing automation platform with stronger integrations, campaign visualization, and richer user profiles. As a result, uTest could launch and manage complex nurture campaigns across regions and audiences, and it improved engagement and retention for its app project. With Acquia, uTest deployed personalized campaigns to over 44,000 users, cut first-30-day churn from 62 to 26, and reduced rolling churn in the first two weeks from 20 to 4.
