Timex Gains Commerce Platform for Great Digital Shopping Experience

Timex, the iconic watchmaker, needed a new commerce platform that reflected its brand while making product discovery, navigation, and content management simpler for shoppers and marketers. Its previous platform limited search, slowed changes, and made it hard to replicate content for regional sites—challenges that threatened Timex’s international expansion and online customer experience.

Timex rebuilt its commerce experience on Drupal 7 with Acquia (Acquia Commerce Cloud and Acquia Search), alongside design and implementation partners, enabling a small in-house team to make fast updates and add regional content. The new site launched in six months, more than 22 sites were migrated, the commerce search handles 400,000+ searches per month, a custom finder and fraud-detection module improved shopping and security, and regional publishing now ensures a consistent, localized brand experience.
