Syngenta Transforms Digital Services for Farmers

Syngenta, a global agricultural and biotechnology company, needed a faster, more flexible way to deliver timely pest and crop-protection information to farmers. Its outdated Microsoft SharePoint CMS was expensive and difficult to manage, lacked responsive design, and performed poorly on mobile devices, making it hard for farmers to access critical updates in the field. Syngenta chose Acquia, using Acquia Cloud Site Factory with support from FFW.

Acquia implemented a centrally managed, mobile-optimized platform with CDN caching so Syngenta could run multiple sites from one place while giving regional teams local publishing freedom under corporate governance. The new solution improved site speed, reduced operating costs, and made it much easier to launch new services and websites; it has now been deployed in over 70 countries. Farmers also gained faster, mobile-friendly access to pest alerts, weather forecasts, and other crop information, helping them plan crop protection more effectively.
