Selventa, a biomarker discovery company that enables personalized healthcare, faced an aging website built on a difficult custom CMS that prevented meaningful updates without the original developers. William Hayes, SVP of Platform Development, needed a complete rebuild on a platform the company’s Business Administrator, Alissa Stanley, could maintain while still delivering the features Selventa required.
They rebuilt selventa.com on Drupal Gardens (Acquia), engaging a Drupal Gardens partner for initial setup and theming; the platform’s Views and Themebuilder let Stanley edit content, add graphics and make structural changes herself, and built-in SEO made content updates easier. Launched in September 2012, the site is now fully managed in-house with no IT time required, faster vendor support and restored control—freeing Hayes to focus on Selventa’s core mission.
