Savannah College of Art and Design Rewrites the Rules on Recruitment with Its New Website

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), a private nonprofit art and design university, needed a single, scalable website to represent its creative brand, attract prospective students, and support signature events. The existing site had grown from multiple CMSs into a difficult-to-manage assortment of one-off systems, limiting reuse of design elements and slowing the launch of event microsites.

SCAD rebuilt SCAD.edu on Drupal and deployed it on Acquia Cloud, enabling iterative development, staging workflows, and hands-off infrastructure management. The result is a responsive, visually driven site with a shared code base that speeds microsite launches (including a Chinese/English Hong Kong site), improves team agility, and supports recruitment and growth—while benefiting from Acquia’s reliability and security.
