Rotary International Turns to Acquia as It Reinvents Member Engagement

Rotary International, a global service network operating in 200 countries with more than 34,000 clubs and 1.22 million members, faced a legacy, self-hosted CMS that delivered poor availability, slow performance, and an inflexible user experience. With members, donors, and sponsors relying on the site for fundraising and communications, Rotary needed a scalable, responsive, and personalized digital platform that could serve multilingual, multicultural audiences and support complex member workflows.

Working with Acquia and partners, Rotary rebuilt its digital presence on Drupal and Acquia Cloud, creating two interconnected sites—a public marketing site and a profile-driven member portal—launched within 12 months. The solution added Okta SSO, content workflows and translation tools, social networking and CRM integration, location/language detection, and a mobile-first, image-driven design; the result is a more reliable, cost-efficient platform that delivers personalized engagement, centralizes communications, and better connects members, donors, and the public.
