Pac-12 Networks Embraces the Acquia Platform to Deliver Fan-centric Experience

Pac-12 Networks, the content and media arm of the Pac-12 Conference, needed to transform Pac-12.com into a daily destination for fans but was held back by a slow, inflexible mix of legacy platforms and dispersed content (WordPress, external services, and an old CMS). The network required a single, scalable CMS that could handle thousands of archived videos and articles, deliver live updates and stats, and support team schedules, mobile, social engagement, and rich multimedia at scale.

Pac-12 selected Drupal on the Acquia Platform and partnered with Phase2 to build a centralized CMS, integrate a third‑party video platform, add APIs for real‑time scores and school news, and create a private calendar portal for event scheduling. Deployed in five months, the redesign produced 3,000+ event landing pages, enabled seamless migration of archived media, and drove immediate engagement—doubling video hours viewed in the first year while creating a unified, fan‑centric experience.
