North Carolina Central University (NCCU) needed to move its public website and internal portal off a homegrown CMS built on Adobe ColdFusion 9, which made updates difficult and risked support issues as in-house ColdFusion talent disappeared. With a lean web team and growing demands for agility, security, version control, and compliance, NCCU turned to Acquia and its Drupal-based Acquia Cloud Platform.

Acquia helped NCCU rebuild both sites on Acquia Cloud Platform, supported by technical guidance, documentation, and training. The result was faster development—site elements now take about half the time to build compared with ColdFusion—plus easier user and version control, streamlined workflows, and quicker responses to stakeholders.
