A Acquia Case Study
New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR), the Granite State’s only statewide radio news service reaching 183,000 weekly listeners, wanted to extend its on-air programming online with content-rich, individually branded microsites (topics included immigration, classical music, regional news and the 2012 campaigns). With a main Drupal site but limited internal resources for upkeep, NHPR needed a scalable way to create and manage multiple topic-driven sites while focusing on content.
Working with Acquia, NHPR adopted Acquia Cloud Site Factory to centrally build, clone and customize a Drupal design and infrastructure, giving nontechnical editors flexible CSS-based tools plus Acquia support and community-driven features. Four of ten planned microsites are live—nhimmigration.org, shiftingthebalance.nhpr.org, classicalnh.org and campaign.nhpr.org—delivering deeper, topic-focused content, expanding NHPR’s digital reach and reinforcing the station’s brand.
