Fox.com launches on Drupal with the Acquia Platform

Fox.com, the digital home for the FOX television network and its hit shows, faced growing traffic and streaming demands that outpaced a custom-built legacy platform. The site had accumulated technical debt, making content updates slow and costly, while managing mobile and connected devices, a disjointed data layer, and content syndication remained major pain points.

FOX replatformed to Drupal on the Acquia Platform, leveraging Acquia Professional Services and integrations for video and third‑party tools, and launched the new site in November 2014. The move centralized content for 11 FOX NOW platforms, improved performance through CDN and content acceleration, enabled an API abstraction layer for broader syndication, introduced agile workflows, reduced time-to-market for features, and lowered total cost of ownership.
