The Australian Department of the Environment and Energy needed to move its 1,500-page State of the Environment report online in a way that could handle past and future reports, support comparisons, and present complex environmental data clearly while meeting Australian Government digital service standards. Working with Acquia, the department sought a modern, flexible platform using Drupal to make the report more accessible to a wide range of stakeholders.

Acquia helped the Department of the Environment and Energy quickly build the online report using ready-made modules and Drupal’s flexibility to add custom features. The result was an interactive platform with comparative analysis, searchable trends, and more than 300 maps and graphs, making scientific data easier to explore and understand.
