Change My World Now promotes young social entrepreneurs with Acquia and R2integrated

Change My World Now (CMWN), founded by author Gina Otto, is a youth-focused initiative that empowers children to become social journalists, entrepreneurs and activists. Otto needed an online home to grow the movement—a highly interactive, easy-to-navigate and COPPA-compliant community that would engage kids, parents and teachers while remaining cost-effective and able to scale with traffic. She partnered with digital agency R2integrated to realize this vision.

R2integrated and Acquia built CMWN on Drupal Commons and migrated it to Acquia Cloud, using modules like Content Profile, Webform, CCK and Organic Groups to enable profiles, group interaction, project submissions and secure media sharing. The site launched in six months (in time for a 20-city tour), secured more than 15 partners, and delivered scalable hosting, ongoing support and a dynamic community that helps youth collaborate and take action on social causes.
