Sheridan College, a nearly 50-year-old undergraduate institution known for creativity and innovation, faced slow, disorganized marketing workflows because images and videos lived on inaccessible servers and staff repeatedly had to request files from Creative Services. Adopting Widen’s Media Collective centralized the college’s photo and video library with an easy, user-friendly interface (piloted for the alumni magazine), where professional images are uploaded, tagged and rated for quick discovery. The DAM enabled self-service access, faster decision-making, more consistent branding, reduced interruptions to designers, and measurable time savings—summed up by users as “easy, fast, efficient”—with plans to expand uploads of video and event photography across the college.
