Shea Homes - Customer Case Study

Shea Homes, founded in 1968 and one of the largest private homebuilders in the U.S., produces vast amounts of visual content—photography, videos, brochures, renderings, and floor plans—to market its homes. Without a centralized digital asset management system, the marketing team faced manual, time-consuming workflows, inconsistent assets on the website, and licensing/expiration risks that made finding and publishing approved content difficult.

Shea implemented Acquia DAM (Widen) and integrated it with their Kentico CMS via the Acquia DAM API to create a single source of truth, using metadata, dynamic image resizing, and embed codes to ensure current, properly sized assets are published everywhere. The result: major time savings (presentations that once took hours now take minutes; landing pages can be built in ~10 minutes), elimination of duplicate files and broken links, easier license control, and a scalable foundation for future integrations (e.g., Salesforce); the system now manages 103K assets and drove 772M embed views in the last 12 months.
