A Acquia DAM Case Study
Kent Scouts is a UK charity that runs adventures and international trips for young people across Kent (17,481 youth and 6,479 adult volunteers). Preparing for a national rebrand, they faced fragmented photo and asset storage (files on personal desktops and cards), no version control, and difficulty distributing up‑to‑date brand materials to a large network of staff and volunteers.
They implemented the Widen Collective (Assets, Portals, Insights) with a tailored metadata taxonomy and curated portals for internal brand assets and a public media library. The result is a single searchable repository, streamlined distribution without forcing DAM logins, analytics-driven asset decisions, extended asset reuse, and improved brand consistency—making it easy for volunteers and stakeholders to find approved files and raising the quality and public perception of Kent Scouts’ materials.
