A Acquia DAM Case Study
Crayola launched the Crayola Gallery on the Widen Collective in August 2018 to centralize more than 100,000 assets—product and lifestyle photos, logos, videos and sales materials—for roughly 600 internal and external users. Like many organizations introducing new software, Crayola faced the challenge of overcoming user resistance and workflow disruption to ensure consistent, secure adoption of their digital asset management (DAM) system.
Megan Fisher implemented the Crayola Gallery Basic Training program—weekly and onboarding sessions, quarterly refreshers, tailored advanced workshops for uploaders and international users, quick-tip email campaigns, and on-demand PDFs and how-to videos—while serving as the main user contact. The result: all current users completed training, power users gained confidence with strict metadata and permissions, engagement and visibility of the Gallery increased, and employees now serve as "DAM champions" supporting long-term adoption.
