Cencosud Shopping S.A., part of one of Latin America’s largest retail conglomerates, operates shopping centers across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Colombia. The company needed to bring digital channel control in‑house so marketing teams could build and deploy personalized, omnichannel campaigns quickly (web, mobile, kiosks) across more than 20 digital properties without depending on IT or external agencies.
Partnering with Realmedia, Cencosud implemented Drupal on Acquia (Cloud Platform, DAM, Personalization) using a standardized multisite code and a single management console. The result: site creation time fell from 3 months to under 1 month, content tasks from 7 days to 1 and publish time from days to minutes; traffic increased (Costanera +300%, Alto Las Condes +800%, all sites +180%), pages per visit rose 40% (2.46→3.45), cinema ticket sales +13%, onsite directory use +80% and organic search +82%.
