Beam Suntory - Customer Case Study

Beam Suntory, formed in 2014 from two historic spirits families, struggled to surface and reuse a vast archive of brand artifacts—from century-old photos to vintage ads—because assets were stored in disparate warehouses with no searchable, centralized system. That fragmentation made it difficult to bring heritage content into marketing and distributor channels even as the company grew to manage hundreds of brands and sub-brands.

In 2017 Beam Suntory implemented Acquia DAM (the “DAL”), consolidating 120,427 assets into a single source of truth used by 6,500+ users and integrated via API with tools like SharePoint. The DAM and portals keep assets current and permissioned, streamline access for agencies and distributors, and support historical preservation and brand consistency—driving 201,000 downloads in the last 12 months and helping the company elevate its heritage across marketing, retail and visitor experiences.
