Rapid growth left content dispersed across servers, Google Drive and Slack, with unclear usage rights, poor searchability, slow systems and limited documentation—straining workflows and making it hard for teams to find the right, approved assets.
In 2021 Article implemented Acquia DAM (branded internally as ADAM), centralizing 26K assets and integrating the DAM with Google Drive, Slack, CI‑HUB, and their PIM, plus using Portals for external distribution. These changes automated manual steps (reducing a weekly 3–4 hour advertising workflow down to a single step), increased self‑serve access and searchability (40K searches, 680K downloads in 12 months), and improved collaboration and consistency across marketing and product teams.
