Case Study: GSK digitizes 92 years of art history with Acodis

A Acodis Case Study

Bringing Historic Monuments Into the Digital Age With Intelligent Document Processing

GSK (Society of Art History) wanted to digitize its 92-year book series, “Die Kunstdenkmäler der Schweiz,” and make the contents of 137 volumes and about 65,000 pages searchable and accessible online. To support this initiative, GSK worked with Acodis and its intelligent document processing (IDP) platform to scan, extract, and structure the series content for a custom web platform.

Acodis automated the extraction and enrichment of text, images, metadata, and geographic data, then helped launch the Kds-Online platform with search, filtering, and editing functions. As a result, GSK can now make its heritage research available to the public, improve research efficiency, and keep the information current, while giving users one-click access to edition exports and object searches.
