Allianz Real Estate, a company of the Allianz insurance group, faced the challenge of manually processing over 6,000 diverse energy bills per year to measure the carbon footprint of its 300 properties. This manual process was extremely time-consuming and error-prone. To overcome this, they turned to Acodis and its intelligent document processing (IDP) platform to automate the extraction of consumption data.

Using the Acodis IDP platform, an automated pipeline was set up to classify bills, extract the relevant data, and store it in a database. The solution achieved a very high accuracy rate and saved an estimated 1,500 hours of manual work per year. This automation provided Allianz with the data needed to evaluate energy consumption and identify CO2 reduction measures, laying a foundation for sustainable real estate management and future IDP projects.
