Data-Driven Risk Management Across Global Processes With Automated Control Testing

Texas Instruments, a global technology leader, needed a fast, data-driven continuous auditing and forensics program to monitor inherently risky processes across its worldwide operations—purchasing, accounts payable, vendor setup, travel & entertainment, and purchase cards—while ensuring compliance with regulations such as the FCPA and achieving full data coverage.

TI implemented ACL’s Data Analysis for Teams/Analytics Exchange with a dedicated continuous audit team and ACL consulting to build custom analytics and FCPA routines. Automated, server-based testing and a web portal for Compliance and auditors delivered faster, repeatable insights (reducing a three-week reporting process to two days), improved fraud detection and regulatory assurance, and freed auditors to focus on proactive analysis and remediation.
