ACL™ Analytics Exchange Supports Audit Team Collaboration and Communication

The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor (OSA) independently evaluates the state’s financial records and program performance with a 150‑person audit staff across nine branch offices. Facing a heavy audit mandate, the OSA needed a solution to promote audit consistency, efficiently document work, and enable faster automated testing without reliance on audit technology specialists.

Working with ACL Consulting Services, the OSA migrated its ACL scripts to ACL Analytics Exchange (AX), deploying a secure AX repository and web portal for sharing and remote access. The rollout cut a monthly data update from about four hours to 15 minutes, enabled auditors to run and share approved analytics independently, increased audit coverage and consistency, and helped prioritize new automated tests to improve efficiency across the audit cycle.
