A ACL Case Study
American Automobile Association of Northern California, Nevada & Utah (AAA NCNU) is the second-largest regional AAA, serving over 4.5 million members with 7,000 employees across 120 offices. Its internal audit team needed better data-analysis capability to review the insurance book of business and audit areas like travel & expense, procurement cards and payroll, but staff had mixed ACL (analytics) skills and wanted to expand ad-hoc analytics and develop continuous monitoring for stronger business assurance.
ACL delivered a three-day on-site training plus hands-on consulting to implement key analytics and standards. The program increased ACL knowledge and enthusiasm, enabled testing of full data populations rather than samples, and produced deeper, repeatable analyses and automated monitoring—improving audit quality, risk assessment and operations monitoring while positioning the team for ongoing, continuous monitoring and advanced training.
