The City of Pittsburg, a local government agency in Northern California, was using Smartsheet to manage goals and performance metrics, but it lacked a strong system for documenting progress and tracking responsibility across departments. As priorities changed, department directors spent much of their time answering questions about goal status, which created confusion and inefficiency.
The City turned to AchieveIt to align City Council goals with departmental objectives and make performance tracking more public-facing. AchieveIt made goal updates a matter of minutes and linked them to publicly accessible dashboards on the City’s website, giving residents real-time results and helping the City improve transparency, accountability, and strategic planning.
