Reinforcing Development Programs with a Focus on Leadership Skills

Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the U.S. and ranked #1 on the U.S. News & World Report Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll, faced a leadership development gap: managers who completed formal training plateaued and risked leaving without more personalized support. Department Manager Jim Smith sought a measurable, continuous coaching solution and engaged AceUp to provide that targeted leadership development.

AceUp delivered a year‑long, personalized one‑on‑one leadership coaching program (launched May 2019) for six managers; quarterly qualitative assessments administered by AceUp showed strong impact: 60% improvement in maximizing employee engagement, performance and retention, 70% improvements in leadership influence and in goal‑setting/time management, and 100% improvement in self‑awareness. The AceUp coaching program provided meaningful, measurable growth that helped deepen managers’ skills and engagement.
