Polarity worked with Ace Metrix to evaluate an ad intended to reach men and build brand awareness by running in the highest rated programs. The spot was a montage meant to convey a home’s financial, architectural, and emotional connection, but the company faced the risk of negative impact from its target media weight in expensive sports network programming.

Ace Metrix showed that the ad’s Ace Score was above norm, but demographic splits revealed a polarity between men and women, with men at 370 versus a norm of 430 and women at 436. Based on that insight, Polarity quickly pulled the ad from the sports network, replaced it with a previously run ad that had generated high Ace Scores among men, and redirected the women-appealing ad into programming that skewed more to women.
