BuzzFeed worked with MINI on an in-depth video series for the MTTS spirit, including 6 co-branded videos, 7 white-label videos, and a short documentary-style white-label video. To understand how the creative performed and whether it built emotional connection with viewers, BuzzFeed partnered with Ace Metrix.

Using Ace Metrix’s normative database, BuzzFeed and MINI compared the ads against hundreds of automotive ads from 2014 and identified which creatives resonated most with different audiences. One of the top ads, “The Unwritten Rules of the Road,” scored 24% higher in emotional sentiment than the average Non-Luxury Industry Ad among all viewers and 20% higher than the Ace Metrix Auto norm for positive emotional sentiment, with especially strong results among viewers ages 21–35.
