Case Study: AstraZeneca achieves faster, AI-ready analytical data access with ACD/Labs Spectrus

A ACD/Labs Case Study

Preview of the AstraZeneca Case Study

How AstraZeneca is Overcoming Obstacles to Analytical Data Access

AstraZeneca, a global pharmaceutical company, faced significant challenges with its analytical data management. Its R&D scientists struggled to access, find, and reuse historical and globally dispersed analytical data, leading to inefficiencies, duplicated experiments, and lost knowledge. To overcome these obstacles, the company partnered with ACD/Labs to implement a centralized solution using the Spectrus Platform.

ACD/Labs implemented its Spectrus-based Global Analytical Database (GAD), which automated the collection, processing, and storage of raw and processed data from NMR and LC/MS instruments. This solution provided immediate, standardized, and searchable access to data for scientists across multiple global sites. The results included substantial time savings, the elimination of redundant work, and the creation of a consistent, AI/ML-ready data foundation that is now being used to build predictive models for more efficient and sustainable research.
