To protect its reputation for tailored CRM and sales automation, QGate needed a disciplined yet flexible way to manage multiple product versions and fast customizations, enforce a repeatable software development lifecycle, and efficiently track customer-reported defects and enhancement requests from inception to resolution—closing the CRM loop between support, development and sales.
QGate implemented AccuRev process-centric SCM integrated with its SalesLogix CRM (and Orbis TaskCentre) to provide stream-based versioning, snapshots, and improved artifact traceability. The integration reduced merge errors, improved build and release integrity, allowed multiple CRM tickets to link to single SCM issues, and automated real-time status updates—resulting in faster, more accurate issue visibility for development, support and sales, lower support costs, and greater efficiency sharing code across releases.
