Mosaic Life Care, an integrated health system recognized for clinical excellence, was struggling with revenue cycle challenges on the financial side. Patient access errors were driving high denials and about $4.5 million in annual bad debt write-offs, so Mosaic turned to AccuReg and its front-end automation tools to improve registration, eligibility, and patient payment processes.

AccuReg implemented a suite of front-end solutions including eligibility and benefit verification, registration quality assurance, authorization management, payment estimation, and financial screening, integrated with Mosaic’s Cerner EMR. In under 120 days, the system helped Mosaic cut patient access-related write-offs in half, reduce denials from 4% to 1.6% of net patient revenue, and project a 20% increase in point-of-service collections.
