Payee Services of America (PSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides representative payee, fiduciary and financial management services to people with low income, disabilities and those receiving Social Security or Veterans benefits. Launched in 2017 and serving over 125 clients, PSA needed a robust, efficient system to manage hundreds of weekly transactions, strict reporting requirements and high accountability—manual spreadsheets and basic bookkeeping proved impractical and time-consuming.
PSA adopted AccuFund’s Representative Payee solution—featuring a general ledger, reporting, dashboards, bill payment, receipts and bank reconciliation—with reseller support from NFP Solutions. The system improved accuracy and reporting, cut staff time on check-writing and reconciliations from about 60–70 hours to 35–40 hours per week, and enabled scalable growth while maintaining strong accountability for client funds.
