The Music Center Foundation, established in 1973 to build endowments for The Music Center and its Resident Companies, faced growing complexity as its endowment swelled to over $400M across roughly 2,000 named funds supporting eight organizations. The foundation needed a more robust, in‑house system to track donors, gift stipulations and multiple endowment funds instead of relying on basic money‑management software and outside accounting.

They implemented the AccuFund Accounting Suite with its Allocations module to allocate income, dividends, gains and expenses to each named fund and produce monthly donor‑level reports (original gift, beginning market value, activity, current value). AccuFund also tracks gift types and restrictions and manages numerous marketable and private equity investments. The result: efficient growth management, major time savings by replacing Excel workbooks, fewer errors, clearer reporting and responsive vendor support.
