The Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of Duck Valley Reservation, a remote community of about 1,200 people with 200 employees and multiple services (hospital, day care, water and sanitation, land management), struggled with largely manual accounting and an unreliable legacy software that frequently failed during power outages, leaving transactions in doubt and staff spending excessive time on basic record-keeping.
